Construction update August 2026

Last month, we celebrated a major milestone at Altamira with the project’s Topping Out Ceremony, marking the completion of the building’s highest structural point. This achievement recognises the collective contribution of our project team, consultants, partners and stakeholders, and reflects nearly a decade of dedication to bringing the vision for Altamira Canterbury to life.

While topping out marks the completion of the building’s structure, it also signals one of the most exciting stages of construction. Now that the structure is complete, construction teams can focus on the details that will define the finished homes.

Teams are installing windows throughout the development, while brickwork continues to shape the façade. As this work progresses, the project vision comes into sharper focus and moves another step closer to completion.

 

Construction Update May 2026

Altamira Canterbury is now visibly taking shape on site.

Over the past six weeks, significant structural milestones have been achieved, including completion of the basement and Level 1 structure. Works are now underway preparing Level 2 for pouring, marking another important step forward as the project nears topping out.

Behind the scenes, the design team is focused on refining the finer internal design details that will shape the everyday living experience at Altamira — ensuring the same level of care and consideration is carried through every aspect of the residences.

We look forward to sharing further progress as this unique Canterbury address continues to evolve.

Construction Update March 2026

Construction at Altamira continues to progress strongly, with momentum building as key stages of the build advance on site. With the basement complete, concrete slabs are now being poured, defining the buildings form.

Each pour marks another step forward as the structure rises and the vision for Altamira comes into clearly into view.

Beyond the structure, work has now commenced on manufacturing the windows and other façade elements – an important step that signals the transition from structure to the crafted architectural detailing that will define Altamira’s refined character.

Construction Update - January 2026

We’re pleased to provide the latest construction update for Altamira Canterbury.

Current works on site include:

  • Bulk excavation is now complete
  • We have commenced pouring concrete for the basements
  • Sewer tapping is now complete, with water to follow

 

Offsite we are currently prototyping joinery and the facade.
